Brown Steak and Gravy

Here's a recipe sent in by Robin.

2-3 pound pkg of Round Steak (cut into In.. pieces - I can usually get 6-8 pieces out of my steaks)
2 pkgs. McCormick brown gravy
flour
salt
Pepper
veg oil

Heat oven to 350 degrees

heat a frying pan of veg oil for searing each side of meat (about 1/2 inch oil is plenty)
salt and pepper each piece and drudge through flour for light coating.
brown the meat on each side then remove and place in baking dish.

Drain oil out of frying pan but keep meat drippings. Make brown gravy according to directions on the packet in the frying pan then pour over browned meat.

Bake about 1½ - 2 hours until tender. (also works really well in a crock pot on low all day)

Meat will fall apart.

Serve with mashed potatoes and your fav. vegetable. (ours is peas for this menu)
