When my step-daughter and her husband come for a visit, I absolutely HAVE to make the following (no matter what time of year it is) as it is her all time favorite.

Browned Steak and gravy
mashed potatoes
peas

It's a heavy meal but it was one my grandmother used to make when I was growing up and it just "hits the spot" for comfort foods!
