Broccoli Salad
Jessica has sent in this recipe. She also has her very own recipe blog too.
This is what she had to say:
Came across your blog and love it!
Here's a recipe for a great broccoli salad I recently made and took to a Memorial Day picnic. It was a big hit!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2 bundles raw Broccoli (fresh, not frozen)
1 Cup red onion (chopped into small pieces)
1- 1 1/2 Cups grated Cheddar Cheese
Bacon Bits
Raisins
Sunflower Seeds (without the shell)
For dressing combine:
3/4 Cup Mayo
1/2 Cup White Sugar
4 tbsp Vinegar
Directions: Make dressing and add to broccoli, cheese, and onion. Add bacon bits, sunflower seeds, and raisins to taste.
Comments: I have never used a whole cup of onions; I usually use about 1/2 cup, especially if I'm taking it to a bar-b-que where there will be kids.
