I wish I could help!! I'm definitely not a rib person! But refer to Crystal's recipe for Oven Fried Chicken to fill Michael's request! We loved it!

Sorry this was not sooner....here are two good options...par boiling the ribs prior to baking makes them soooooo tender

BBQ RIBS

2 racks raw ribs
1 cup ketchup
1 cup bbq sauce
1 cup honey
1 tablespoon garlic butter

Boil ribs on stove for 3-4 hrs on medium boil.
Preheat oven to 350°F.

After ribs have boiled, mix ketchup, BBQ sauce, honey, and garlic butter together. Once ribs are boiled to the point where the meat is falling off the bone, marinate them in sauce for 10 minutes.

Once ribs are fully covered in sauce, place in a wide pan and place in the oven for 1 hour.

.....
PORK SHORT RIBS
2 lb pork short ribs
8 cups of water
salt to taste
coarse ground black pepper to taste
2 tablespoons liquid smoke

1 tsp olive oil
8 Tbls favorite BBQ sauce
3 Tbls finely minced sweet onion, combine w/BBQ sauce

1) Preheat oven to 375 F. On the stovetop, in a large pot, bring water to a rolling boil, then add liquid smoke. Add salted/peppered ribs to water and boil 15 mins. Remove and place in baking dish, brushing w/olive oil ( you may also use more salt and pepper, optional). Place on middle rack in the oven for 40 min.
2) After 40 min, remove from oven, apply BBQ sauce and reduce heat to 325 F. Bake for 30 to 45 mins. more, basting frequently.
