Britling's Cafeteria Macaroni & Cheese

This recipe comes from my Aunt Renee.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
3 eggs
1 tablespoon salt
1-1/2 cups milk
1/4 cup margarine
1 - 8 ounce package macaroni, cooked (do not add any salt to water when cooking)
12 ounces sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
Beat eggs; add salt and milk. Melt margarine and add to egg and milk mixture. Pour over cooked macaroni. Stir in cheese.
Place macaroni and cheese in pan and set that pan into a larger pan of warm water. Bake at 350 degrees about 45 minutes, until done. To serve, cut into squares. Yield: 6-8 servings.
I made this last night for the family-it was just as I remembered from my childhood in Birmingham. It is the best comfort food ever. Thanks for listing it-my recipe was from an old newspaper clipping and it has disappeared since last night-I know it is somewhere, just don't know where-probably under the fridge. Wish you had the Dale's steakhouse apple pie and cheese sauce recipe. Thanks, MEP
