Baked Beans

It's our 1st recipe & it's brought to you by Staci.

1 lb of ground beef
1 large onion
1 green pepper
3 medium cans or 1 large can of pork and beans
1 c. brown sugar
2 Tbsp dry mustard
16 oz of ketchup
1 large dash of Worcestershire sauce
1 small dash of Hot sauce
1/2 pound of bacon

Cook ground beef, onion and pepper in frying pan until done. In baking dish, pour pork and beans; add beef mixture to beans and mix. In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar, dry mustard, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce. Pour this mixture over the mean and beans. Partially cook bacon on stove then add it to the top of the beans. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.

Makes a 9 x 13 pan full of yummy beans~

This is the only way to eat baked beans. They are so yummy- and filling, because you add the ground beef to them. My Uncle Bo-Bo makes these for every family gathering, and me and my Maw Maw will fight you for the last scoop. They are so delicious. If you are making this for just your family, I would cut the recipe in half, because this is a lot of beans. Usually this dish is made for gatherings, or taken to church as a covered dish for a pot luck lunch.
