Tortellini Soup

Here's a recipe from our Star Recipe Contributor Jamie!

I got the recipe originally from Better Homes and
Garden magazine, but of course I have added and
substituted ingredients until it's just right! It's
also an easy one, and if you make a double portion, a
great one to freeze for a later date!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
3 cans chicken broth
6 oz. whipped cream cheese **
Can Cheddar Cheese soup
1/2-3/4 c. tomato sauce (I use Ragu)
1 pkg sausage
16 oz. cheese tortellini
Scramble sausage and set aside. Put chicken broth in
large sauce pan and bring to a boil. Remove 1/3 cup
chicken broth and whisk together with cream cheese to
make it a liquid. Add tortellini to boiling chicken
broth and let it cook. Then add liquid cream cheese
mixture, can of cheddar cheese soup, tomato sauce, and
sausage. Let simmer 10 minutes and serve. It has an
excellent taste and is very filling!
**If you don't have whipped cream cheese, you can
soften some regular cream cheese, add a little milk,
and whisk it until creamy for the same consistency.
