Chicken Tips

Jamie has some tips on cooking chicken....

This is just a trick that I use on days that I want to
cook, but I still want to get out of the house for a
while.

I put chicken in the crock pot on low for 5 hours. I
use a can of chicken broth, a can of water, and a
teaspoon of minced garlic.

It is as tender as can be! And it takes no effort to
cube or shred when it's done.

I do this with chicken spaghetti, any casserole that
calls for cooked chicken, and tonight, I am making it
to add to the Olive Garden Alfredo sauce recipe!

What a great idea! I always want to make the recipies that call for cooked chicken, but have never figured out a good way to cook the chicken without it being a serious hassle. This will be awesome!

This is also a great tip when making chicken salad. The meat is so tender and flavorful. To my chicken salad, I add boiled eggs, chopped very finely (I use my food processor...you could mash them with a fork while still warm), dill pickle relish, onion powder, Hellman's mayo, salt and pepper to taste. YUM! Delicious on croissants!
