Kitchen Tips

These are from Vickie.

When you are cracking eggs in a bowl and you get a little shell in your bowl, use the shell half to get it out with. The shell attracts the shell and it will pull itself right on out.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After chopping onions or garlic in order to get the smell off your hands, just lather your hands up and rub them back and forth or your kitchen faucet a few times and then rinse. The chrome on the faucet makes the smell go away.
Wonderful tips...I'll be sure to use them as I hate the smell of garlic on my fingers...Does the smell stick to the faucet?
No it shouldn't because you are actually cleaning your faucet at the same time as your cleaning your hands.
Yea I knew the faucet one...but my faucet isn't chrome so I usually walk around for days smelling like garlic which I don't mind but the onion smell is gross!
It will only work if your faucet is made of stainless steel. If not, use a stainless steel spoon and rub it between your hands like a bar of soap under running water.
How do I get the smell of Onion out of bowls? I washed them, and soaked them, but the smell is still there!
